This week, in honor of Grace Hopper’s birthday, Computer Science Education Week is sponsoring an Hour of Code. They are encouraging EVERYONE — adults and students — to complete an hour of code. They have created many online tutorials, so anyone can try the activities without previous knowledge or a teacher. When students finish their hour of code, they can print a certificate with their name on it and be counted with the other millions of people who are doing an hour of code.
The code.org website states: “The Hour of Code is an opportunity for every student to try computer science for one hour. During Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 9-15), we’re making history and recruiting 10 million to join in and do the Hour of Code.”
